Light

I first wrote about spring in the beginning of March, but now it feels like spring has finally come to stay. The snow is almost gone, the sun is brilliant and bird song seems to be everywhere. And we really don't mind, do we? The spring temperatures - whilst you can't exactly call it heat -  are much welcomed after a bleak March. Realising that a cashmere knit and mohair coat are already too much to wear nearly sent me skipping down the street. Glad I caught myself just in time.

Arelan For Good - päiviltä ostettu second hand kašmirneule saanee vielä mukavasti käyttöä kevättrenssin allakin, samoin uudet kevätfarkkuni.

Back when it was cold and dark, finding a light oversized comfort coat felt like a necessity, and - unsurprisingly, perhaps - I wandered aimlessly cantered with utter determination to the coat go-to, Samuji. One glance inside and I was holding my dream coat, don't you just love it when things are made easy (and reduced to half-price)? The coat has only perfected my life for a couple of months, so I really don't feel like packing it away for summer yet - but then I would rather wear my spring coat as soon as possible (that, after all, is the one true sign of spring). The cashmere knit came along when I left the Arela For Good Event (still wandering how I managed to leave without half the shop with me), and will be getiing some wear under that spring trench of mine, as will my new spring jeans.

Brighter days obviously call for more sartorial action and now that we are coming back to life again, a little challenge wouldn't hurt. We went out to take these photos with favourite girl Jenni yesterday and vowed to do so at least once a week hereon. Both have unfortunately been suffering of the prevalent problem of work and other duties getting in the way of our favourite things, namely blogkeeping. Now that the light has returned, after work can involve some outfit immortialising, too. So enjoy your last of March and remember to watch out for April Fools' tomorrow!
